Who We Are
St. Ansgar’s Lutheran Church is a Christ-centered, Bible-believing fellowship of disciples:
- Rooted within the one, historical Christian Church which finds its center in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ
- Grounded on the Word of God, the Bible; and
- Kindred in Spirit with evangelical (“sent” into the world in witness and service to Christ and His Word) expressions of local congregations and the world-wide family of Christ.
Who are we?
We are a variety of everyday people. We go to a variety of jobs. We have a variety of educational, familial, and cultural backgrounds.
And yet, at the same time, we are all drawn to and united in serving a God who is one, who does not change, and has given a clear message to His people. We are defined, first, foremost, and always, by the One that we serve.
St. Ansgar's is a Bible-believing congregation, committed to serving the God of the Universe, as revealed in the word of God.
Jesus' church on earth has many different cultures and heritages. St. Ansgar's serves Jesus from within the Lutheran heritage, and as a body holds to certain fundamentally Lutheran interpretations of Scripture. Any and all, however, are welcome to join us in worshipping Jesus. Within that Lutheran Heritage, we find ourselves members of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations (AFLC).
